Alaska Flight Academy Refund Policy
1. Withdrawal and Refund Eligibility
Students who withdraw or are dismissed from the flight training program may be eligible for a refund of tuition and fees, based on the student’s last date of attendance. All withdrawal and refund notifications must be submitted in writing. If a student has not flown in 90 days or more, the Academy may administratively inactivate the student’s flight training account.
2. Refund Calculation
Refunds are calculated only for training or services not yet received. No refund will be issued for instruction, flight hours, or services already delivered. Any applicable refund will be processed within 30 days from the date the school determines the student has withdrawn. All refund requests must be submitted within 365 days of the student’s last date of attendance to be eligible for processing. After 365 days a student may only utilize his amount with training activity.
3. Refund Distribution
If the student received loan funds or payments from a third-party lender, refunds will be issued first to the lender, up to the amount disbursed. Any remaining refund amount, if applicable, will be paid directly to the student.
4. Non-Refundable Fees
The following fees and expenses are non-refundable once charged or purchased:
-
Registration or application fees
-
AA medical exams, testing, and/or licensing fees
-
Books, supplies, and uniforms
-
Headsets and other flight equipment
